The Buffalo State University Career and Professional Education Center (CAPE) welcomes employer partnerships and supports recruiting efforts to reach Buffalo State students/alumni. All employers who want to promote job and internship opportunities must adhere to the CAPE recruiting policies and guidelines to ensure successful hiring.

Recruiting On Campus & Virtually

The CAPE has a variety of options for employers to recruit on campus, as well as virtually.  Employers can set up information tables in our student union, host information sessions and conduct interviews or participate in special events. The CAPE customizes each recruiting visit and will talk with employers to best fit their needs. Recruiting on campus takes place during the fall and spring semesters.

Employers interested in learning more should complete the Employer Information Form to get started. A CAPE staff member will contact you within 2 business days.

Job and Internship Fairs

Job fairs are a great way to connect with students in person!

The CAPE hosts multiple fairs each year on campus and with our local WNY Association of College Career Centers, Inc (WNYACCC).

  • Part-time Job and Internship Fair (Fall Semester) is held at Buffalo State

  • WNY Career & Internship Fair (Late-Fall) - hosted by the WNYACCC

  • Full-time Job & Internship Fair (Spring Semester) Employers who attend this fair hire full-time, bachelor’s degree-requiring opportunities or paid internships during the fall, spring, or summer semesters.

  • Teacher Recruitment Day (Spring Semester), hosted by the WNYACCC

Registration for Buffalo State Job fairs is through BengalLink. For information about any of the above fairs, please contact Lynn Rogers, Assistant Director for Employer Engagement.
