What was your experience like searching for and securing an
internship/part-time/full-time job/community involvement during the pandemic?
For me, it was very challenging to obtain an in-person internship especially during the pandemic. I am currently interning at Roswell Park Cancer Institute and I owe it all to the Career and Professional Education Center (CAPE) for helping me tailor my resume to the specific field I was applying for.
Share any accomplishments, successes, positive experiences during your experience.
Because of my internship, I have been accepted to 2 competitive graduate programs for the Fall semester.
In what ways did the Career and Professional Education Center (CAPE) help in your preparation/search?
(workshops, event, 1-on-1 services, BengalLink/other resources)
The CAPE worked with me one on one to make my resume an extension of myself. They focused on my areas that needed improvement and helped to make me the best version of myself professionally. CAPE professionals were so understanding and really cared about my story and my goals. They are passionate about helping students succeed and I am forever thankful for the valuable advice they have shared with me.
Words of wisdom you would like to share with other students?
