  1. Briefly describe how you have managed to stay confident and positive throughout your academic experiences.
    • Staying confident and positive throughout my academic career has been challenging at times. However, having the support of my family during my struggles really helps. They push me to be the best I can be and encourage me to keep going when I want to give up. I keep reminding myself that I am doing this to better myself to build a good future. As I get older, I grow more comfortable with the environment and more confident in my work. There are moments where I am insecure with my work; however, I stay positive and remind myself that I am doing the best I can.
  2. Briefly describe how you have overcome obstacles to accomplish/work towards accomplishing your professional goals.
    • I overcome my obstacles by always pushing through. There have been moments when I wanted to give up, or I felt that I could not handle the challenges. I kept pushing myself, and when I needed help, I asked for it. Sometimes, I do find asking help to be extremely difficult because I do not want to bother anyone. However, asking for help can be one of the best things you can do. Overcoming that obstacle, and pushing myself outside of my comfort zone, I am able to tackle every other obstacle I struggle with. This made me realize I am not alone, and I do not have to do this alone.
  3. In what ways did the Career and Professional Education Center (CAPE) help in your preparation/search for your internship experience or in securing employment? (workshops, events, 1-on-1 services, BengalLink/other resources)
    • The Career and Professional Education Center (CAPE) helped me in my preparation for obtaining my internship in many ways. I attended all the workshops prior to my internship and used the skills I learned to apply for my internship. I also used the skills I learned to help me create my resume to apply for a part-time job within my internship.
  4. Any words of wisdom you would like to share with other students?
    • "Are you doing the best you can"? "Can you push yourself further"? If you are doing the absolute best you can, keep in mind it is not a race to the finish line. Take your time, and in the end do what makes you comfortable.
  5. Desired career plans after graduation?
    • My desired career plan after graduation, as of right now, I would like to follow the career path of my internship in being a Care Manager. I really enjoy my time here right now and would like to pursue it further.
  6. Would you like to include your email address (for future outreach and connections with other students and employers)?
