Denise M. Harris, Director Denise M. Harris has over 18 years of higher education experience and is currently the Director of the Buffalo State Career and Professional Education Center. She oversees the comprehensive career development program for both the undergraduate and graduate student population. Denise is a certified career coach, qualified to administer the Myers-Briggs Type Indicator, a certified Etiquette Expert, and an ATIXA trained Title IX Investigator. She earned her Bachelor of Science degree in communication from SUNY Fredonia, and her Master of Arts degree in College Student Personnel from Bowling Green State University. Denise is a member of the Western New York Association of College Career Centers, the National Career Development Association and the American Association for Employment in Education. |

Maureen Pernick Huber, Associate Director Maureen completed her Bachelor of Arts in Speech Communications from SUNY Geneseo, her Master in Education in College Student Personnel Administration from Colorado State University and also earned a Certificate from the Center for Studies in Creativity at Buffalo State College. Maureen's work in higher education has enabled her to live and work in Texas, Colorado, and South Carolina, as well as her hometown of Western New York. She enjoys helping students learn more about themselves and how they may find their success in their communities and the world of work. |

Lynn Rogers, Assistant Director for Employer Engagement rogerslm@buffalostate.edu | LinkedIn Lynn earned a Bachelor of Arts in Sociology from SUNY Cortland, and a Master of Science in Higher Education Administration from Syracuse University. She is responsible for providing guidance and vision for the employer relations program, including overseeing on-campus recruitment, employer sessions and coordinating job and internship fairs. Lynn is a member of the Western New York Association of College Career Centers, Inc (WNYACCC), SUNY Career Development Organization, Inc (SUNYCDO), National Association of Colleges & Employers and American Association of Employment in Education. She is the Chair of the Buffalo Area Teacher Recruitment Day committee and the Employer Relations Coordinator for SUNYCDO. Additionally, she has served as president of both WNYACCC and SUNYCDO. |

Phillip Auman, Senior Career Counselor aumanpj@buffalostate.edu | Twitter | LinkedIn Phillip earned a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from St. Bonaventure University and a Master of Science in Student Personnel Administration from Buffalo State College. He is a career counselor with over 23 years of experience working with a diversity of undergraduate students, graduate students, and alumni. Leading the office's technology efforts including the CAPE's website; career office management systems; electronic assessments like FOCUS, MBTI (Certified), Strong Interest Inventory, and StrengthsFinder (Strengths Educator); and the office's computer lab, Phillip is an excellent "go-to-person" for technical questions. He is also an adjunct professor for New Student Academic Programs where he designed and instructs UNC111: Career Planning in Theory and Practice. He is a member of the Western New York Association of College Career Centers, the State University of New York Career Development Organization, the National Career Development Association and the American Association for Employment in Education. |

Cate Vivacqua, Senior Career Counselor Cate earned her Bachelor of Arts in Communication Studies and Master of Science in College Student Personnel Administration from Canisius College. She is a Career Counselor for the Career and Professional Education Center. Prior to working at Buffalo State, Cate worked in many different areas of Student Affairs, including Career Counseling, Residential Life, and Academic Advising. Cate is dedicated to working with students to achieve their future goals, whether in the world of work or to continue on to graduate school. A lifelong resident of Western New York, she enjoys volunteering, traveling, and enjoying everything that Buffalo has to offer. |
